049 - HARLEY QUINN

048 - JOKER

047 - BABYFACE

My scanners doing this weird thing where when I scan inks this red static shows up on large areas of spotted blacks and I haven't been able to get it figured out... in this instance I thought it looked kinda neat.

046 - BIG BARDA

I've been on a Kirby kick for the past few days, wanting to draw a bunch of New Gods characters but I just haven't had the time to get around to them. This one here's for my buddy and fellow Barda enthusiast Adrian Johnson

MORE RANDOM

Here's a random panel look at Dirge 'having a moment'...

SCORN - No. 02 UPDATE

More SCORN with my good buddy Dirge being Dirgesque...

SCORN - No. 02 UPDATE

Been kept pretty busy with Egg Embry's SCORN as well as another project I don't think I can really talk about quite yet so there hasn't been much time for blog sketching. Here's a random page from SCORN No. 02 - More Scorn previews soon!

045 - DEADMAN

So after a few hours of banging my head against a wall and still not being able to get the page that I was working on right, I decided to take a breather and just draw something for fun and I've been itching to draw Boston Brand here for a while.

044 - NIGHTCRAWLER

RIP Kurt Wagner. Swashbuckler. BAMF!

043 - SUPERMAN

Clark looking at something he doesn't like, probably a mugging across town or something.

042 - B'WANNA BEAST

Yes... B'Wanna Beast! Why?!? Well, why the hell not!!

COMICS FOR CURES - 2

With the exception of Curt Swan on Superman I really have no fonder comic book memories than The New Teen Titans during the Wolfman / Perez era. Storywise and artwise there just isn't much out there that's been done better so these were alot of fun for me. My cards got mailed out today and a few of my friends have been good enough to volunteertheir time and effort for a great cause - For more info go to: ttp://www.comicsforcures.com/

SCORN - ISSUE No. 2

"Who loves ya' baby?!?" My buddy DIRGE getting ready to put foot to ass.

MEGACON '10

Here's a look at a design for a SCORN t-shirt that my buddy Egg Embry and I will be peddling at MEGACON this weekend. We'll be set up in Artists Alley, Yellow Section - Table 12. Stop on by and pick one up!

041 - THE KENTS

Part 3 of 3 ... and with that my homage to my favorite scene from Superman: The Movie comes to a close but there's more Kryptonian coming soon.

040 - KAL-EL

039 - STRANGE VISITOR

Part 1 of 3 - The reason Ma and Pa Kent didn't need to have an Auto Club membership.

038 - SPIDEY Vs. DOC OCK

I did this piece as a gift for my buddy John McGuire’s birthday – I got the idea of doing the New School / Old School composition from an awesome batch of covers that Joe Quinones is doing for Amazing Spider-Man… so I set my own take on Spidey against my attempt to ape John Romita Sr. who is one of my all time favorites (although so is JRJR). Anywho, it was a lot of fun putting it together.

037 – ROCKETEER

With apologies to Dave Stevens –

I'm thinking The Rocketeer is a bit outside my wheelhouse but more than that I think this is a good example of what happens when you have a drawing you're not happy with to begin with but you keep plowing through hoping to 'fix' it along the way. I think at one point I did have it looking halfway decent but then I just kept going at it and essentially worked it to death. The gray wash on the pants was really the last straw for me I think.

Anywho... I was trying to play along with the guys over at the COMIC TWART blog but obviously I was in over my head on this one. Maybe next time.

036 - SUPREME

My buddy Don Thomas did a sketch of SUPREME and I finished the nights page early and it's not a character that I'm real familiar with and had never drawn him before so I decided I would take a shot at it too...

035 - ROAD TO PERDITION

034 - ROAD TO PERDITION

033 - ROAD TO PERDITION

032 - ROGUES / INKS

Heh. This was fun. Other than Ole' Harley Girl, I'd never actually drawn of these guys before which is odd but not unusual for me now that I think of it. There are tons of characters that I love and I've never tried my hand at... come to think of it I've never tried drawing Catwoman before either ;)

Thanks to friend and fellow Artist Jason Flowers for the feedback on Mister Freeze, I'm thinking there's a big difference between the pencil and ink stages so hopefully more of that cold heartedness (wink) comes across.
