SHE-HULK Updated

Here's a look at the final on the She-Hulk Print which will be offered as a show exclusive at Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con available at the Headhunta' Studios Booth, if you'll be attending the show stop by and pick it up!

My good friend and SCORN collaborrator Adrian Johnson threw the colors down on this one and really, I couldn't be happier. There's nothing better than working with someone who 'gets you'. With no notes from me at all he accomplished exactly the look and feel that I wanted and just made it his own without resorting to Photoshop gimmicks or compromising my linework. Cool Beans!!

Here's a piece I did as a birthday present for my friend Steve Caruth, I had no idea what to draw and his Wife Denise said he liked Gecko's and the first thing that came to mind was the thing from the insurance commercials and The Gecko Brothers in From Dusk Til' Dawn - Red Col-Erase pencil, Pentel Brush Pen, Deleter White and gray wash on Bristol.

I started this one as an experiment in Inking after a conversation with my buddy Egg Embry, the idea was to blue line a photo and then ink it without having to worry about 'fixing' my pencils so that way I could just focus on line widths and values and all. It was a neat little exercise and I figured this being the last post of 2010 I would let the good Capatin wave me out. I wish you all a very happy, safe and prosperous New Year! Cheers!

HARLEY QUINN Updated

Here's a look at the Harley Quinn print that I worked up for Atlanta Comic Con - I was very happy with the way that this one turned out. A big thanks to the talented Brian Frey on Colors and the design assist.

I really need to start doing a better job of taking pictures / gettings scans of the sketches I do at shows... here's a look at two I did get scans of, a big burly Batman with a sort of unitentional Bart Sears-ness to him and Nick Gnome which was alot of fun to draw after such a long time. Never cared much for this character until the Justice League cartoon came along. As I kicked around names of characters that would make for a neat art print her came kept rattling around in my head so I took a shot... probably won't make the final cut but I am happy with it considering I've never drawn her before.

My scanners doing this weird thing where when I scan inks this red static shows up on large areas of spotted blacks and I haven't been able to get it figured out... in this instance I thought it looked kinda neat.
