INKTOBER: AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON
INKTOBER: 30 DAYS OF NIGHT
Jake Parker kicked off a fun idea called "Inktober" - 31 days of inked drawings meant to be a fun way to promote 'good art habits' and flexing your inking muscles, which for anyone thinking of being a sequential artist is always a good idea. I've been posting mine individually on my Instagram and Twitter (@mightyfineline) but I figured I could update my blog as well so here we go. THE SHADOW KNOWS
A look at Chris Samnee' fantastic cover to the first issue of my current project, THE SHADOW: YEAR ONE for Dynamite Entertainment, from the solicitation;
"THE SHADOW is a character that has lasted through decades on the pages of pulp magazines, over the radio airwaves, thru the silver screen, and in the panels of comic books. Shrouded in mystery, his origins have been explored and hinted at over the years…but never fully revealed. Much is known of Kent Allard/Lamont Cranston’s years spent in the Orient and Central America—wherein he gains his powers and purpose…but not how he first developed his persona as the Master of Darkness. Eisner Award-winning author, Matt Wagner is joined by artist Wilfredo Torres in an exhilarating 8-issue limited series that will explore the dynamic events that first drew Cranston back to the States, how he first met his companion and lover, Margo Lane, how he began to assemble his vast network of agents and how he first adopted the famous black hat and cloak as his alter-ego's disguise—all secrets that, up until now…only The Shadow knew!"

COMMISIONS & SOME ODDS AND ENDS
I guess I've never really made a point of soliciting requests for Commissions outside of conventions and I guess that's given some folks the impression that I don't do them which couldn't be further from the truth, so... YES, I accept Commission requests. Send me money and I'll draw you stuff!
The particulars are as follows:
Black & White, 11x14” 100lb Bristol - $80USD for the first character, $20USD each additional character thereafter; limit four (4) characters total. Shipping and handling are your choice and at your expense. If you live within the continental United States your image will be typically shipped via United States Priority Mail with insurance and a tracking number. If you live internationally, shipping via FedEx is preferred and recommended. The preferred form of payment is PAYPAL but Money Order, Cashier's Check, personal check are also accepted. The commission will not be started until payment is received and the payment clears.
My ability to take on commissions is subject to my work schedule but I also reserve the right to reject any commission request. For further questions, detailed instructions regarding payment and setting up a commission, please contact me via e-mail - torres@mightyfineline.com
Now that we have that out of the way, here's a few doodles!
